Nepal E-commerce Act 2081 and Directive 2026, in plain language
Parliament passed the e-commerce law in 2025 (2081). In 2026 the government issued a directive so departments can actually enforce listing, consumer protection, and digital payments. Social sellers are in scope.

Why a website still matters
Listing forms ask for platform details, domain/hosting, policies, and how you sell. A Facebook page alone is hard to treat as a stable electronic platform. A shop URL with PAN, address, catalog, and refund policy is easier to show an officer — and easier for customers to trust.
What SaralNova is (and is not)
Is: a ready shop website, orders, invoices, NCM, POS
Is: a place to publish contact, PAN, and policies
Is not: automatic government registration — you still submit the listing form
